Preferred Hotels is celebrating International Pineapple Day by offering 27,000 bonus points for a stay by December 31, 2022.
I Prefer members must make the booking today (June 27, 2022) using a rate code MKTIPM.
You can access this offer on Preferred Hotels website here.
Note that you must book a specific rate code to qualify for the bonus.
I Prefer Member Rate (rate code MKTIPM)
Preferred Hotels claims to have 650 or so independent hotels associated with it. Only 114 of those, however, are available using points.
Number of Points Required:
The page states that these 27,000 points are enough for a free night, but the last time I checked, each iPrefer point is worth 0.2 US cents. So the value of 27,000 I Prefer points should be $54, which is hardly enough for a free night. UPDATE: You can redeem points at a fixed value at roughly 114 hotels.
I tried to find out how much these Preferred Hotels require in terms of points but couldn’t find any values on their website. They use an outside company for bookings, and perhaps they cannot pull them.
A friend of mine participated in their recent 30,000 bonus points offer and had to “fight” to have them posted because Preferred Hotels claimed that the reservation was not booked on their website (it was).
Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:
27,000 Bonus Points offer valid for I Prefer Member Rate (rate code MKTIPM) bookings made only on June 27, 2022, for travel through December 31, 2022. Booking must contain a valid I Prefer Member number and be made through preferredhotels.com, iprefer.com, the I Prefer App, or Preferred Hotels & Resorts Global Reservations. No promotion code required. May not be combined with other Bonus Point offers. Bonus Points offer is subject to restrictions and change without notice. Membership rates subject to availability at participating hotels and resorts. Valid for active I Prefer Members only. If a guest books the I Prefer Member Rate and is not an I Prefer Member, they will automatically be enrolled into the I Prefer Program upon confirmation of their booking. If the guest cancels their I Prefer membership prior to arrival, hotels have the ability to alter the booking to a Best Available Rate (“BAR”). This rate may not be combined with other select promotions, offers or discounts and is not valid for existing reservations or groups. Rate is non-transferable or redeemable for cash. Offer booked under standard Member Rate will follow cancellation policy as set by hotel. If this offer is booked at a hotel participating in the Flexible Member Rate, the booking may be cancelled at any time with no fees.
